What is Heffa Luv? It is something that either Rose or Kristina really loves. It could be a product, a tip, a motivational quote – just about anything that helps us to continue on our weight loss journey.
Since we love to share the tips, resources and inspiring information that we find from around the web with each other, we thought it would be a great idea to share it with our readers as well. We hope that you find something here that motivates, inspires or educates you.
Kelli over at Hungry Hobby recently wrote a great post all about Prioritizing Protein: why it is important, qualities of protein available and how to make better choices when picking the protein you consume. Kelli even shares different sizes and about how much protein you should be consuming to get all the benefits your body needs.
I absolutely love mindbodygreen.com and they always have just the right articles for what I am going through in my life. I have been telling myself that I really want to get into Yoga and make it a consistent part of my wellness routine. I have also been trying to work on my evening and morning routine to have more energy during the day. Their article A Morning Yoga Sequence For A Better Day was exactly what I needed. The poses they share are fairly easy and super energizing!
I recently wrote about some of my the meals I have been eating (pretty boring choices but I’m working on it!) and Kristina wrote about “bad” foods that she enjoys by changing the way or amount that she prepares them. Since I intend on really increasing my cardio and perhaps one day start running I always enjoy finding food choices that can fuel my body. I recently discovered Lindsay’s blog ad her top 11 food for athletes suggestions. She is a runner and I really enjoyed reading through her posts about her adventures and life.
[side note] I used to run on the track team as a teen and that is how I discovered that I had sports-induced asthma so I stopped running. I wish I had found things to help treat it and continued running but it was a really scary experience. Since then I sort of grew out of it, however, I do have my inhaler on hand at all times.
If I experience any negative reactions to stepping up the intensity I will consult my doctor (and I suggest you do the same if this is something you are interested in as well.) I hope to be able to go running with little to no issues within the next year because I love how it feels to run and experience the beauty of Hawaii at the same time.
So… I am currently working on this post on a Friday. I work for just a few hours from home on Fridays so I spend most of the day doing one of the following things: spending time with my sisters, working on my side hustles, blogging or zoning out/listening to music/watching Netflix. And if I really want… I will take a nap. If I have a project due for school I may work on that, but Fridays are usually FriYAYs because I work little, get paid and spend the day how I want. Unfortunately, because this is the one day that I don’t really put much on my schedule – I get distracted by a lot of things.
I found Lashawn’s post about overcoming distractions and I could totally relate to what she was writing about. I told myself I was going to workout about 2 hours ago but I am sitting here with 10 browser tabs working on different things. Her post was a great reminder to stop and focus on what I want to achieve and push those distractions to the side.
