It’s officially the New Year and the end of the holiday season. You’ve might have gone off the rails this past four weeks with your weight loss efforts, or you might have fallen off the wagon prior to Thanksgiving. You’ve probably made a NYE Resolution to get back on your dieting and/or weight loss plan. And when you were thinking about this morning the night before you were already picturing yourself at the gym and cooking super healthy meals. You might already see the numbers going lower on the scale in your imagination.
“Don’t Call It A NYE Resolution”
It’s good to have those positive views especially since weight loss can be tough. But you have to remember that this will not be done overnight. This is going to take hard work and effort. You don’t want to give yourself a restricted diet or cut things out otherwise you might risk overindulging on them down the road.
This post isn’t trying to bring anyone down but more give you a realistic view on weight loss. Remember, you’re in this for the long haul. This is a large commitment you’re making with yourself. And like a relationship you’re going to put the effort in. They will be days you’re going to do great and then there will be days you’re going to hit a wall. Some days you’ll get so discouraged that you’re going to want to throw in the towel. But I promise you it’ll be worth it.
So don’t call your weight loss goal a NYE Resolution. I’m suggesting you call it a lifestyle change because that’s what it is. You’re changing how you living your life and you’re not looking to do this short term. You already have a big inspiration with today being the New Year’s Day 2017-take that energy and charge into a lighter/healthier you!
