So I’m not very proud of where I am right now. I gained 5lbs back compared to my last weigh-in. Not working out and being super busy (see: eating on the go and not being able to prepare healthier meals) will do that to you. I’m not giving up, even though at times I really just want to say eff it!
I’m not too worried about this gain because I plan on adding in daily walks in the morning or evening. I figured out what time it starts getting hot or stops being hot and will schedule around that to get in more walks. The weather here has actually been really nice – warm but with a nice cool breeze. There are some hills around where I live so I’m going to make it a habit to go up and down them at least a couple times a week.
Gym time has been off and on with little consistency – also working on that. I need to figure out when my gym is less busy so that I can get a full workout in instead of waiting around for machines.
The one thing I have been doing well with is getting my water in. I haven’t been drinking as much as I was but I am pretty consistent about choosing water over other beverages and trying to drink as much as I can. I forgot my Hydro Flask at my sisters house for about a week and I realized if I don’t have it with me at all times I am much less likely to drink enough water. I got it back so now I am back in business.
Even with me not eating as healthy as I would like I have managed to keep my blood sugar at (or around) the level that my doctor wanted me to aim for so I am pretty happy about that.
On a side note, I have been looking for some shorter pants to workout in. What do you guys think about these Stretch Active Knee Shorts from Lane Bryant?
They are a little brighter than I would usually use but they look fun and I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.
